Simon was engaged through consultancy firm Capital Insight to assist the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service during a state-wide programme called Total Asset Management Plan (TAMP). This project came about through the decentralisation of several components of asset management including property and consolidating them into a total district plan.
Simon’s expertise in the fields of Facility and Asset Management was invaluable to the project. His insight into project planning and strategic direction enabled the district not only to complete the transfer before schedule, his plans and spreadsheets also became the source of reference for other districts in Queensland.
During the initial project commencement, Simon had to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, many with different agendas. His personality and ability to adapt to all circumstances enabled quality deliverables and stakeholder ownership.
It was a rewarding pleasure to work with Simon during this time and his knowledge and advice has directly assisted the district in our ongoing asset management.
